Eravikulam National Park
Eravikulam National Park also known as Rajamalai National Park. It’s the First National Park in Kerala which consists of 26 Species of Mammal & 132 Species of Bird. Eravikulam National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
It is located at an altitude of 600ft & distance about 15kms from Munnar. It provides the perfect point to see the glory of valley that lies beneath it. As the name itself say’s that this place is for those who want to see the nature and one must have to scream anything so that the echo can be heared & you can also opt for boating.
The Mattupetty dam is surrounded by green lush jungle and the still water of reserve gives amazing reflection of tree plats. You can experience the nature by walking in surrounding area covered by tree. There is a narrow road passes above the dam separating storage reserve and other part.
Things To Do : Boat Ride at ATDC near the dam & You can also enjoy shopping from the small local market located near Mattupetty dam.
It can be also said as Kanan Devan Hills Plantation Company. Apart from amazing weather of Munnar. The Tea Museum has a major tourist attractions. It is one of the most renowned famous place in the world for tea. As it is the world second largest tea producers & distributors.
Things To Do : In this museum we get to know about how the Tea are made and Tea store are also available which is little bit costlier from the market.
It will be the favourite spot for the Nature lovers as It provides the panaromic view & formation of clouds in Munnar. This place cover’s the border of 2 state’s of Kerla & Tamilnadu. The misty mountains & chilling cold can be experienced only in morning . Here Neelakurinji Flower can be seen once a year. Top Station charges some minimal entry fees.
